Will it fit my car?
It’s made for compact cars, hatchbacks, sedans and most SUVs. The cover measures about 259 × 114 cm (102 × 45 in) including the straps. To check the fit, measure your windshield from side to side and compare it with the cover size above. Very large vehicles, such as full-size trucks and vans, may not be fully covered. Please check your car’s measurements before placing your order.
Does it cover my side mirrors?
Yes. The built-in mirror covers slip over both side mirrors, and the reflective strips make your parked car easier to see at night.
How do I install it?
- Lay the cover over the windshield, centred, so the side flaps fall over the front side windows.
- Slip the mirror covers over your side mirrors.
- Attach the elastic straps with the metal hooks to a secure point on your car.
- Press the magnets along the edges onto the metal body panels for extra hold.
It takes about a minute once you’ve done it a couple of times.
Do the magnets hold it on by themselves?
The magnets are there as extra support. The elastic straps and hooks are the main way it stays secured, so use them every time, especially in windy weather. Magnets only grip steel panels, so they won’t hold on aluminium or plastic body parts.
Will it scratch my paint or glass?
The cover is made of soft Oxford cloth. As with any cover, brush off dirt and grit from your car before fitting it and keep the magnets and hooks clean, so nothing rubs the paint.
Can I put it on when there’s already snow or frost?
It works best when it’s put on before the snow or frost forms. If there’s heavy snow already on the glass, brush most of it off first so the cover sits flat.
How do I remove it without getting snow on my car?
Unhook the straps, lift the cover off by the corners and fold the snow-covered side inward, or shake it off away from the car, then drive off.
Can I leave it on for days?
It’s designed for overnight and short-term use. If it’s been on for a long time in freezing conditions, check that the straps and cover aren’t frozen to the car before pulling it off.
How do I clean and store it?
Wipe it with a damp cloth and let it air dry fully before folding, so it doesn’t get musty. Fold it and keep it in your trunk or back seat.
